It happened this week to the founders of a group called Americans for Legal Reform, who were waiting in line to get into a Long Island courthouse.

“How do you tell when a lawyer is lying?” Harvey Kash reportedly asked Carl Lanzisera.

“His lips are moving,” they said in unison.

While some waiting to get into the courthouse giggled, a lawyer farther up the line Monday was not laughing.

He told them to pipe down, and when they did not, the lawyer reported the pair to court personnel, who charged them with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.

“They just can’t take it,” Kash said of lawyers in general. “This violates our First Amendment rights.”

Dan Bagnuola, a spokesman for the Nassau County courts, said the men were “being abusive and they were causing a disturbance.” He said he did not have the name of the lawyer who complained.

I am not sure how I feel about this,
I think today is the start of 9 11 trials.
so far all I have heard is that this should have been tried in a goverment trail instead of New York.

I feel that to have them in NY is like pouring salt in an open wound.

it was an attack on the USA not just New York


this will put a strain on our local police.

“1) It will be a government trial - its the Federal Court in Manhattan.

2) The 6th amendment to the Constitution specifies that a trial will be in the State and District where the crime was committed.

3) The NYPD is up to the task.


What better place to have justice served? These guys will get the death penalty.

provided they dont get off on a technicality...thats what scares me the most about a criminal trial...its tougher to get off on a technicality in a military trial”
