I don't use the word 'media' very often because it is kind of a stupid term.

I rip on FOX, because they are the king-pen of the state-run 'media', but ABCCBSCNNNBC are all the same... pro-government pro-kill Iraqis for oil.

As to posting links, I wouldn't do it at all if people like bbw don't come along always calling me a liar, LOL.

Bush supporters only believe things if it comes from the 'media' and that's why I post the links, makes it harder to call me a liar (although pro-Bush people never read articles that offer evidence that falsify what they think, so they still call me a liar anyway, LOL).

My favorite is to post FOX News links ... but they've been censoring an exceptionally high number of stories of late (at least they don't show up on the search engines). Not letting anything get through.

For instance, I looked for the Deserter story on FOX News before posting it, and nope! Their media analysts basically sit on the news feeds (they have very few actual journalists) and they take about 5% of the actual news, pick it up and bend it into a justificationist pretzel to give talking points for the ditto-heads, tell them what to say.

Clear Channel companies are the same, only worse, because they can get away with a lot more during the morning commutes.

Do you know why advertisers on the pro-Bush radio stations give such huge somes of money? I mean I'm sorry but people don't consume $30 million worth of some obscure companies product based on an ad in a little rural community. And some of the 'sponsors' don't even get any advertising time! So why are they paying these stations so much?

The reason they do it is to out-price the cost of ads so that dissenting views aren't allowed on the stations, and the only marketable business model is to push the policy interests of people who want contracts, tax cuts, and other things from the taxpayers.

That's how Rush Limbaugh has made all his money.. HUGE sums for a guy on radio...he doesn't make it from advertisers wanting to sell their products ...

The advertisers pay him for the effects of his commentary on the public to support government policy 'X' that the monopolies and other groups want.

They also include the caveats that dissent is only on-air such that it supports the payees policy goals.

They buy these huge sums to buy up all the air time at extremely high prices that only people who are going to get a $500m government kickback can afford to.
