Forgive me if this has been posted already, but I thought it was an astounding visual. It's a video of the tsunami made of still satelite images. I'm not sure if it's IR, Dopler, or what type of imaging system the NOAA used, but it's incredible to see. Enjoy.

Amazing. It traveled so far, even to the coast of Africa.

The camera, yes, but media cards probably could take the water. I've heard of people having media cards go through the washing machine and still work.

I remember an article I read years ago about a man who had stalked a grizzly bear sow and her three cubs, for the purpose of photographing them. He had earlier sent his wife back to the vehicle to wait for him to get a couple of more shots. The sow tolerated him following her and the cubs for awhile, until she felt threatened when he got too close. She then proceeded to run towards him, for the purpose of removing the threat. He captured some compelling photographs of her and her yearling cubs running down the hill towards him, just before she killed him. They found his body and his camera the next day, along with his .357 magnum, which he didn't even have time to draw.
