Lunch in Trego, Wi: You're invited

“Okay, sports fans. I'm buying lunch and beer at Pappy's Leatherneck Bar in Trego, Wisconsin today. Just post, email, instant message or send smoke signals for your reply. Pappy's is a little difficult to get to these days so you'll have to take SH 53 north to Minong, 77 West to Chicog Lake rd, Snow mobile to McClain Lake, strap on your skis to the Namekagon trail and snowshoe from lower Twin Lake to Pappy's. Their menu consists of frozen pizza and cheeseburgers, a variety of chips, whatever beer is on tap (Leinenkugels and Grain Belt, I think) and the roadkill of the day. Lunch is from 11:30 to 1:00. See you there. Don't let me down.”

“Ewker - I never heard of Crivitz so I did a google and got 587000 hits. Not so close, we're on the other side of the state. Pretty much the same kind of country though.”

“I'm not. Still up here in the frozen tundra...just trying to create the impression that I might not be around to pick up the bar tab at Pappy's.”

I do like Wisconsin. I lived there when I was a kid for a couple of yrs.”

“It's only 1.5 miles from the cabin. They're going to holler if anyone shows up...if they're even open (When I was a kid there was a bar owner whose credit was so bad that he had to go to another bar and buy a case of beer before opening up every day).”
