Spent the day in Sequoia on Saturday 8)

Hiked in to Marble Falls, 3.7 miles one way
with a 2,550' elevation gain. After a week of gloomy weather down here in the valley it was nice to be above the haze/fog and into the sunshine! The weather was gorgeous!!! The trail starts at 2,000' and ends up at 4,550'

Marble Falls

I brought a turkey sandwich along and ate it next to this waterfall just above Marble Falls...

It was a very nice lunch spot :)
After lingering a while by the thunderous waterfalls I headed back to the truck.

Shot this one from the top of the gorge...

After returning to the truck I headed up to Big Fern Springs (one of my favorite little photo stops)

I played hookie from work today and went back to Sequoia NP. The San Jaoquin Valley continues to lay under a blanket of clouds while the Sierra is sunny and warm!

I live down there in that soup

Man thats beautiful! I want to go there some day. To bad I am a broke college student who can only go on trips when others agree to go so we can split gas and food costs! great pics!

Great photos. It's neat how you make the water look. I just signed up for the Sequoia snowshoe trip so I'm going to practice on a waterfall there.

Kathy- I would say only 3'-4' at Giant Forest.

Karen- we were supposed to go to Glacier Point two Years ago but altered our plans and went to Taft Point. Last year I day hiked/snowshoed out to Dewey Point with Navi and Trailbum.
