Nonsense!
Several layers of fleeces and a warm parka will make you feel all toasty inside...

And just think about poor Nimblefoot... he's a lot closer to those temps than me. Nimblefoot, have you lost anything yet to frostbite?????

We're having a heat wave (compared to Minn.)in some parts of Canada....it was only -36F in Calgary and Regina yesterday. I think it was +38F in Vancouver...but it was pouring rain. Out in the east coast...they got dumped 3 feet of snow with 30mph winds.

HOLY FREAKIN' SHEEYAT!!!

Today we're promised temps above zero. The deep freeze we've been having is over. Why, I think it might even be 11 degrees out. BUT.. the wind is nasty, nasty NASTY!!!! Wind chills to -26!!!

And I believe it! Had to go to Roch to cover some protestors outside the building where the MN gov was giving his "State of the State" address (it's FRIGID, duh!!)

I heard it was gonna be nasty, although I could hardly believe it after the days and days of sub-zero temps. I went all bundled up with tons of gear. STILL FROZE!!! LMAO!! The pen froze, couldn't take any notes. At least I got a few pics before wondering how soon the camera battery might go.

And had to fight the wind the whole way.

Am sitting at home, eating lunch, with furnace set at 80 now. LOL!

simer, simer, are you a MN native? Hell, **I** make fun of the state all the time!!! But I'm far from native.... THANK GOD!

:-)

To illustrate the cold, I mentioned this somewhere, there was supposed to be a candlelight XC event on the Root River trail here n town, an annual event that usually gets canceled due to the lack of snow.

We had enough snow. It got canceled because it was toooooooooo cold!! LOLOLOL!

MN native, yes - never lived anywhere else.

Seriously though, when you live here the cold isn't as bad as it sounds, -43 is quite cold, but you live with it, all life doesn't come to a halt because it's too cold. I know a few (2 seperate groups of) people that were out winter camping over the weekend, and they all came in a day early because of the cold.

Today was a balmy 60 degrees. I walked my chihuahua without a coat on her and I wore short sleeves.

Tomorrow will be in the mid 50s with the temperature being higher at night.
