I guess it is matter of perspective. The Muslims have been saying for years that we don't have the staying power. Vietnam, then Lebanon, then Slick sold us out in Somalia. Sorry but I keep hearing the extimates as so bad...but my friends coming back tell me a totally different story.
Historically this is strangely similar to the USSR and the US in World War III (the Cold War). If you read the field reports from areas, then you read Pravda...the US media was darn near what Pravda was printing.

XL - the comparision with Normandy is irrelevant and frankly BS. By labelling something 'War' you seem to think it allows comparisions with all conflicts in history.

This was preemtive war designed to fulfill a political or strategic agenda. There is no comparison whatsoever with WW2.
