We Need More Hikers this weekend!

“Need a place to backpack this weekend check out the Skilz to hike the catskills trip. The group is too small and we need more people to warm up the leanto! It is not a hard hike unless you want it to be!”

“LT can you email me your cell phone #? What if we alter the plan a little bit and skip the camp Friday night and meet Saturday morning (early) instead? Hike up to the leanto, drop gear, hike to the peaks and then hike back camp and on sunday hike out. Also with the all the snow in the forecast I'm a little worried about my car getting stuck at thr trailhead. What if I met you somewhere right off of 17 and we rode your truck to the trailhead? Just some ideas.

I don't want to miss this trip. As of now I'm still in.

“I think he's still not sure. He's got car problems. He lives in Boston though. I wonder if he can meet up with you. I've been trying to get him on the phone.

“Good Morning all,

I live probably the closest to this hike but cannot commit with work, family and stuff. If anyone wants to e-mail me I will send my home and cell number as I can be used as a back-up and have a truck that will fit 4 or more adults. If all lines up maybe I can get a bag-nite on Friday or Saturday. I did the Alder lake- Balsam Mountain last summer and I could not find the leanto as it was moved lower down the mountain. So e-mail me and I will be the back-up and possibly coffee and donut guy. Check the weather as bitter cold Friday night and snow Saturday and Sunday, who know how much. Have a great time and hopefully I will see you for at least one night.
