Upper I-O-Wanna Canoe/Kayak Trip, June 3 -5

Hey, I was waaaay inexperienced and had the same qualms in last spring's trip on the Namekagon. but made it with the experience of many.

Don't worry. The 8 or so people you aren't hearing from have loads of experience. Just ask if you have questions.

I'm no genius on this and have stressed greatly and, in one way, just can't wait for it to be done. But... it's like a hike and will come off. I've checked as many sources as I can (and believe me, it's been plenty!)

“StoveStomper - Lawn chair? Unless you are using a kayak, may I suggest something that will fit on the canoe seat and provide you with a back rest? Azmuth Coordinator had one when we did Okefenokee Swamp in January. I was envious.

“Prolly too late for your trip, but rei-outlet.com has some good prices on dry bags (they're seconds) A girl I know from work just got a couple large bags for $10 and some sort of a waterproof box for $20.”

I saw a folding chair in Wal-Mart for $5 that is just the ticket. I'll pay $5 just to have a nice seat for two nights.

It figures! I thought this was a canoe trip, but lizs has been talking about doing hikes as well. And so many secrets! LOL.

Lizs...NEVER make reservations for other people using your own money...just post up the outfitter information and the dollars and let other people take care of things themselves...this way, you stand no chance of losing your money.”

These outfitters don't take credit cards. And I really didn't post the info in time for them to send checks. Kinda my own fault.... AND... the outfitter sits on the money till the weekend, so it *should* work out fine.”

Baked trout in a honey horseradish cream sauce served over wild rice. Very easy to make, and something you will NOT forget!
