Troll status

“From what I read on the threads, a troll is a person who hasnt been on a trip with anybody from the site. So if I posted a trip, went on the trip, posted a trip report, posted the pics etc.. But the other 2 guys were from the other site. Does that make me a troll ? Or, did I represent TT, even though I havent hiked with anybody else on TT ? Who's got the troll rule book ?”

“You have to hike with someone part of the core group in the web of "who have you met" to lose troll status ;-) As I've seen it...most people won't go on a trip arranged by a new person...you have to go on one with others first to see that you are legit and don't bail, then people will start to trust you and come on your trips....troll!”

“No, you're still a troll, but now you've outed yourself as a traitorous troll, or at best an evildoer darksider invader troll. the only way to clear yourself of your troll status is to do what Dub said. As far as your being on the dark side I suggest pricking yourself with a needle 1000 times and then taking a bath in lemon juice, that should cleanse you.

As far as alcohol and hookers you can see Bearmagnet for all that.”

He's been on a trip organized on TT with people from the other side who were posting on TT...but hasn't met anyone on TT who's hiked with other TTers...so it's like he is inside the TT jellow pool but instead of being part of the lime green jellow, he's in another bowl of jellow besides the big pool of jellow.”

scorch - I have to work that saturday, but if I drive all the way up on saturday night or sunday am, to meet and hike, even if its a day hike, does that count ??

I imagine there won't be much going on Sunday morning with the Eagles in the Super Bowl. Saturday night should be fun in camp though. We maybe able to sneak in a small dayhike Sunday.”

“4-6 of Feb is to quick for me to get moving on a trip plus I'm only geared up for warm weather hikes right now. Looking to aquire more gear before end of spring.

As far as the Smokies, What would the dates be I might be game If I have enough vacation. ( it sucks only getting 2 weeks a year)
