What's Your Limit?

“Cold - The coldest Thinkbubelz & I ever camped in was around 30 degrees... Unfortunately, we didn't really have the proper weight sleeping bags, but we managed to bundle up enough not to be too miserable!

The other day, we snowshoed in about 12 degree weather... It was okay, until the wind started to kick in...

Heat - In terms of heat, I really don't like hot weather when it's much more than the 80s... Humidity is the worst! The hottest we've hiked was at the Grand Canyon-- I think the temps were in the 90s or so-- but we made sure to be well covered-up from the sun and it was a "dry heat", so not as unbearable as Michigan's humid summer days... :-)

The temps I really prefer is from the 40s to about the mid/high 70s... Can't really stand it when it's too hot or too cold... I also don't like the humidity or when it's too windy (wind chill sucks!)

Snow - We've gone skiing, sledding and snowshoeing.... The most snow I've "played" in was this past weekend-- about 12-14"... not too bad! Haven't camped in winter weather, and I'm not sure I'm up for trying.... my feet really can't take the extreme cold due a boute of near-frostbite when I was younger...

Miles-- The longest mileage we hiked (with gear) was about 10 miles in 1 day... in the rain, no less-- if it hadn't been so icky, I'm sure we could have walked more! :-)”
