“Is there lighting, or do we need lanterns? I'm assuming if there's electricity, there will be lights, but cha never know.”

“My Crampons haven't come yet...and it's getting close. Hurry up G-dammit! Oh btw, what's everyone doing for food? Were gonna have a grill, and a stove, and a fire pit.”

“I was thinking that we could each bring our own food, but that could get nuts, or we could each be responsible for a meal or something like that.”

“I have hot Italian sausage for making sandwiches friday night, prolly enough for every one. We could each bring a steak for Saturday night, and maybe someone else could handle breakfast Saturday morning. Eggs and bacon or something.”

“yeah and pack trail lunches for the hike on Saturday. Good idea. There is a country store in Red Rock at the baseof the mountain and we can resuplie there. Hope road conditions aren't too bad. The road up to the top of Red Rock Mountain (PA 487) is very steep.”

“hopefully i'll be okay by friday, but luke and i both just caught something really nasty and being out last night with work going snowtubing REALLY didn't help the condition we're in.

hopefully we'll be able to drown ourselves in nyquil and feel better by friday.

Brodysalive dropped out today. So there is another open spot now. If anyone knows anyone who wants to go, lemme know.”

“Considering the fact that me and Luke are BOTH sick, I'm gonna have to back out. I've been out of work for the past 2 days and I still feel like the worst is yet to come (I get sick like this like twice a year, so I know the toll it's going to take).

I figured I'd let you guys know for sure if we were coming this weekend by Thurs night/Fri morn, but if ENS needs an answer ASAP, then I'm just gonna say no to be on the safe side. I don't wanna say, "yea, count us in!" if we're gonna have to back out and screw you guys over at the last possible minute.

“I really want to come but probably won't be able to. It is a bad time to leave for a weekend - next Friday is the "custody conference" at the courthouse for my divorce. And I am getting jerked around about when I will have the kids and when I won't. And if I decide to leave for the weekend, she'll twist that and make it look like I was unwilling/unavailable. After the custody hearing it should be a lot easier for me to make plans. For now....a dayhike Saturday is possible but not likely. I don't have crampons anyway.”

“I have 50' of Paracord for bear baggin' that's it. What kind do you think we'll need, I'll look around on Friday.”

“they want us to have 15-20' of good length rope that is strong. Not climbing rope perse. Rope you can get at say, home depot. We don't have to rope up. They just want us to have it for safety precautions in case we need to climb out of a hole.”

I dont know how much ice your looking for but I dont think your gonna be going climbing on whats up there so far... the snow pack has condensed so its mostly posthole work... not very deep overall, maybe 4 inches.”

“for those showing up for the dayhike on Saturday... Meet at the ranger station/visitor center at 10:00am. We'll do the loop counter clockwise.

For those doing the dayhike tomorrow: Pennsy and I are doing the Glens loop counter clockwise as well. We'll be meeting at the Visitor Center at 830 tomorrow.”

“BS, did you find any rope? I have breakfast food for Saturday and Sunday. I also have Ice Tea and a bottle of wine. I have some other food as well.”

“Not yet, I'm gonna go tomorrow and pick some up, prolly from Home Depot. I have some other stuff as well, along with cards and some AKH.”

“Pennsy, if we finish the Glens trail at a decent time tomorrow and still have time and energy would you want to check out some of the other trails in the park? I was thinking it would be cool to try out my snowshoes and that you could do some skiing. It looks like they have an overlook on one of the trails. I have only been on one or two of the other trails in the park besides the Glens Trail.”
