First Place!!!! :-)

“For the first time ever, I received a first-place award for photography or writing. Picked up the award at the Minnesota Newspaper Association convention Friday afternoon. :-)

Stovey, did ya catch the "link to PHOTO????" LOL... when I mentioned both, it implied I had entered both stories and photos.

Aero, it's either a snake or an out-of-control hose. Speaking of which, I could tell ya what the judges commented:

"(lizs) captured the perfect moment – totally reflective of the fun and excitement kids experience at the county fair. The composition of the photo is amazing, considering the spontaneous burst of giggles at the out-of-control water hose."

It was taken at the open, roofed building outside where the kids hose off and clean up their livestock before the shows. I like that it shows with all the carnival rides, techie stuff and everything, kids can still have fun with something so simple as a water hose flipping around, out of control. :-)
