“I was driving home Monday evening about 4:30, just minding my own business when all of a sudden this jumped out at me and I had to shoot it. Granted it isn't in the backcountry or anything cool like that, but since I just purchased a digital camera I had to get some practice. Oh yeah, off in the distance is the Sierra Nevada, but it is obscured by the ever-present Central Valley haze. ![]() last edited: 2/01/05 10:13:07 AM” 10:11:08 AM 2/01/05 “Very nice.” 10:20:40 AM 2/01/05 “Nice picture. That is one thing I like about digital cameras. You can take lots of practice shots without having to pay to get the film developed.” 10:23:24 AM 2/01/05 “Thanks. Ewker, that is a concept that I'm tring to learn. I'm so used to using film sparingly because of costs that I have to remember that it doesn't matter anymore!” 10:27:56 AM 2/01/05 “Ooh, lovely!” 10:32:34 AM 2/01/05 “Yep, snap away. For every 20 that I post on webshots I probably have 80 more from the same trip that I just store on the office server.” 10:36:51 AM 2/01/05 “dayhiker, sometimes I find it to hard to pick out the best shots so I usually post them all..lol. Hikin Mike, aren't you going on the Sierra trip in July. I already know I will have a gazillion pics from that trip. I bought another spare battery just to make sure I don't run out. I may have to buy another card also.” 10:49:44 AM 2/01/05 “I try to filter them because I figure folks would rather go through 20 than 90. If there are 90 pics in an album then I usually don't even look.” 11:01:02 AM 2/01/05 “I agree but what my not appeal to you may appeal to someone else. It is a fine line on how many to post.” 11:06:42 AM 2/01/05 “Nice balance of lines. I'm the same with taking every possibly good shot then putting my favorites on Webshots, but I'll look at 90 photos albums if it's an area I want to know about.” 11:07:00 AM 2/01/05 “Thanks wannabp! Ewker, I had originally signed up for the trip in hopes that my Lyme Disease would have been a thing of the past. After taking a short/easy hike (~100 yards) with Wind Walker on Sunday I realised I'm not ready for hiking long distances yet. Maybe next year.” 11:28:09 AM 2/01/05
