I've been on the trail, sorry for the lateness.

very soon, cmb. i think im gonna hang around this weekend, but id like to go out the weekend of the 19th. i tried to go overnight the weekend before dad died, but i couldnt find the trail to patton cave in all the snow and ice, and ended up on the 505 trail, looped back, decided "to heck with it, i had a nice day hike (with an overnight pack)" and went home

dad died on wednesday, we got with the funeral director on thursday, but we didnt finish on time to meet the papers deadline for friday, so the obit ran saturday and sunday (mom wanted two days), then viewing monday and funeral tuesday. so from wednesday when i saw him at the hospital to the viewing on monday, it was five days, long enough to start feeling normal again. so of course, that made it all the much harder to go into the viewing room. watching the casket close today was very hard, knowing it was the last time i would see my daddy.

Hang in there, buddy; the sun will come back out soon...

That being said, you said you were interested in going out over the holiday weekend. How far from Red River Gorge are you? A bunch of us are going to be hanging out there that weekend...

Damn, Scott.
That's the hardest thing a man can go thru.
I'm so sorry.
