Teton Crest Trail Trip

oldog, we are showing up at the park on the 20th & 21st and starting the hike on the 22nd. Bison will get permits before I show up on the 21, so get in the e-mail loop if you want to come so we can have the appropriate number of permits. I don't know of this is THE high adventure trail, but it sounds like high adventure to me. Are you up for the lizard head loop as well?”

“Too bad you can't make it. I've been drooling over other people's Wind River Mtns trip reports for too long and I'm really glad I worked it out this year. There will be more trips next year and hopefully you'll get your chance to go. Or maybe we can plan a Colorado trip.

What kind of cold weather clothing are you bringing? Just fleece or something warmer?”

“I'm bringing a gortex parka I guess. It isn't light weight but it is warm and dry. I guess I'll leave the fleece in the car. Shawn it is a shame you can't go. I was looking forward to seeing you again. Hey Phantom Soul it's not too late!

It looks like it may be chillie, so warm clothes are a must, I've always wanted to go lightweight but it looks like my pack is going to bust!

I really hate freeze dried food but when I pack real food my my back says my mouth is crude!

My old boots have brought me many a mile but when they face water they lose the trial. My new Vasque Alpines can handle snow and ice but their weight is certainly a vice.
