KUDOS to LEKI
Just wanted to let everyone know about the excellent customer service I received from LEKI. I bent the lower section of one of my Super Makalus this past weekend when it got caught on a rock crevice as I was decending. I emailed LEKI with a nice letter including a few pics of my climb.

Even though there was no defect in materials or workmanship and they certainly didn\'t HAVE to do anything, they emailed me back right away (within 12 hours) and said \"simply send us your mailing address and we\'ll send you a new pole section\" NO QUESTIONS ASKED!

They didn\'t tell me to send them the old one, didn\'t ask for a sales slip, where I got them, or even how old they were! I\'ll do all these things anyway because that\'s just the way I am (I want them to know I\'m a straight shooter and not bull sh*tting them), and because I work in retail and know you get a lot of scammers.

Any way I thought you all might like to know, even though you may pay a little more for LEKI (or any other top quality brand name), you get the ADDED VALUE of GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE which is something many people forget to put a pricetag on!

Keep it up LEKI

You're not the first on here who has said that, Jim! I haven't needed them yet for my Lekis, but I am encouraged to hear those stories that talk of good customer service. BTW, I like my Leki poles...

Good for LEKI........ and you.

Did you see my Marmot post? I stopped by their customer service in the town where I work. I mentioned that my Precip pants and jacket leak and I was going to treat them. They took my old ones and gave me new ones the next day!!!

That is the reason I purchaced a pair! I read someone else's post about the treatment they received.

Same with you wannabp. Just picked up the PreCip jacket.

Have I ever said that MSR replaiced a tent pole that I crushed? I know it was my fault and that is what I told the rep when I called. She Fed Exed me a shiping label and a box to send it to them. I paid for nothing!

i don't think I would buy any other trekking poles but LEKI. I love mine, and during trail days they clean mine and fix whatever is broken. They do that for all trekking poles, but that's more reason for me to buy LEKI. They really deserve it. Awesome job! And hey... I did win ther dirtiest trekking pole award last year. I sort of want to win it again this year, so I got to be nice. LOL

I know that's not important, but my LEKI also don't have the problem that they loose those baskets on the end. I know tons of people that loose theirs on the second day or so.

Wounded Knee
When the pump on my MSR stove broke on first use on a canoe trip, I wasn't quite so lucky-I had to pay for shipping it back to them before they would ship me a new one. (Fortunately, their was another stove in the group that I could use.)

Leki sent replacement straps for BOTH pairs of our walkin sticks without question. No charge for shipping either. Awesome customer service.

Customer service like this is amazing. I am glad to hear that there are still businesses that stand so firmly behind their products.
