LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!” 1:21:23 PM 2/10/05 “Minnesota is a funny place!” 1:26:03 PM 2/10/05 “Did he make an announcement? I know he's been thinking about public office for some time. He was friends with Paul Wellstone.” 1:46:09 PM 2/10/05 “Who says liberals don't have a sense of humor? He looks so much like former Illinois Senator Paul Simon people will think Simon is back from the grave.” 1:54:28 PM 2/10/05 “Does Franken wear bowties?” 1:55:43 PM 2/10/05 “Bleh! I'd rather see a former pro wrestler or an action film star.(or a B-grade movie star for that matter)” 2:13:02 PM 2/10/05 “Or frickin' Gopher from the Love Boat.” 2:14:34 PM 2/10/05 “I think I've seen him wear one.” 2:20:15 PM 2/10/05 “Most action films are Grade-B, aero.” 2:25:54 PM 2/10/05 “Even Jerry Bruckheimer ones?” 2:31:07 PM 2/10/05 “He's not qualified to be in charge of the key to the mens room much less any public office.” 2:33:35 PM 2/10/05 “Thanks Nigal, you've done a service telling the citizens of Minnesota how to vote. Well, most action movie actors are grade-B.” 2:35:10 PM 2/10/05 “Nigal, do you feel the same way about Arnold” 2:42:38 PM 2/10/05 “Probably not Ewker, Arnold has way more money than Al, thus qualifying Arnold for any office he wishes to purchase.” 3:06:41 PM 2/10/05 “Pretty much. But then again, Arnold carries himself better and isn’t an extremist like Frakenstien. He's also showing that he does have what it takes to lead a state. Hey, if he can find a state retarded enough to vote him in, I say go for it.” 3:12:15 PM 2/10/05 “the way I see it if a guy wants to run for office let him. If the people like what they see they will vote for him, if not they won't. Very simple.” 3:13:09 PM 2/10/05 “Franken an extremist??? Too funny!! He stands up to the extremist liars. (Lying Liars And The Lies They Tell) Does that make him an extremist?” 3:15:44 PM 2/10/05 “Exactly. This doesn't change the fact I think he's not fit to guard the mens room.” 3:15:51 PM 2/10/05 “Yeah Gramps, because only the right is extreme. You wouldn't know etreme if it fell from the sky and started humping you face hippy.” 3:20:13 PM 2/10/05 “He's also showing that he does have what it takes to lead a state. Nigal 3:12:15 PM 2/10/05 I wonder how many people said the same thing about him that you said about Franken. Hey if David Duke can get elected with his background anyone can. What cracks me up about Duke is that he ran as a conservative Republican.” 3:23:50 PM 2/10/05 “Yeah, cause they're all evil.” 3:28:21 PM 2/10/05 “Why not? He's good enough, smart enough, and doggone it, people like him!” 3:36:13 PM 2/10/05 “ ![]() Vile's Hero” 3:46:09 PM 2/10/05 “ ![]() Would you buy a used car from this man? ;-)” 3:48:34 PM 2/10/05 “ ![]() Al is going to bunk with this guy till he can find his own place, after he's elected. ;-)” 3:53:14 PM 2/10/05 Seems we've already set the standard... “ ”4:26:57 PM 2/10/05 “ ”4:46:52 PM 2/10/05 Dang, the cartoons are starting already!!! “ ”4:48:26 PM 2/10/05 “ ”4:49:24 PM 2/10/05 “ ”4:50:29 PM 2/10/05 LOLOLOLOL “ last edited: 2/10/05 4:53:31 PM” 4:52:11 PM 2/10/05 LOL, He changed his mind “Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005 4:12 p.m. EST Franken Won't Seek Senate Seat ... Yet Liberal talk show host Al Franken quashed rumors he plans to run for the U.S. Senate seat held by retiring Minnesota Senator Mark Dayton, who has said he won't run again because of the necessity of constant campaigning. Franken made his announcement this afternoon during his Air America radio show. Last year, the left wing's answer to Rush Limbaugh and other top-rated conservative talkers said he wanted to run in 2008 against Minnesota Republican Senator Norm Coleman, now in his first term after defeating former Democratic Vice President and presidential candidate Walter Mondale in 2002. Speculation that Franken would seek to replace Dayton instead of running against Coleman arose after Franken told a TV station that he was thinking about running for Dayton's soon-to-be-open seat in 2006. Franken, who is a Minnesota native, now says that he plans to honor his two-year commitment to Air America. And, while keeping his options open for a 2008 campaign against Coleman, he said he would move back to Minnesota before making any announcement of his candidacy. His decision leaves former U.S. Senator Rod Grams, who lost his seat to Dayton in 2000, as the only announced candidate for Dayton's seat.” 9:13:17 PM 2/10/05 “<snip> Franken is tiring of merely being a provocateur. Although in just a year his show captured 53 stations nationwide, including eight of the top 10 markets, the most recognizable face of Air America Radio is becoming restless, and ready for a new challenge. Al Franken wants to be a senator. "I'd rather be part of [the process] than commenting on it," he insists. But he pauses, shrugs indecisively, a boyish chuckle follows. "I think. I don't know. That might be part of the calculus of whether I go for it or not." Whether Franken will "go for it" in 2008, against freshman Republican Sen. Norm Coleman, remains to be seen. "I can tell you honestly, I don't know if I'm going to run," Franken continues, as we now sit 41 floors below his studio, in the skyscraper's courtyard. "But I'm doing the stuff I need to do, in order to do it." That stuff includes moving home to Minnesota after three decades away. He's buying an apartment in Minneapolis, and moving his radio show to the Twin Cities. He's talking about political action committees and fundraising with key state and national Democrats, looking to raise money for candidates in the 2006 elections. After years of stumping for Democrats nationwide, he has some chits to cash in. <snip>” 11:45:46 AM 4/28/05 “I want to be part of the process too. I want to be the rich mogul who rakes in the money.” 11:47:49 AM 4/28/05 “bump” 4:26:58 PM 9/13/06 “Oh look. A ready-made pissing contest!” 4:28:54 PM 9/13/06 It's official: 2:22:45 PM 2/15/07 “Suppose he'll do as well as Pat Paulson? Oh, that was president wasn't it? I guess Franken just doesnt have his sights set as high as Paulson.” 2:27:32 PM 2/15/07 “Wow! Al taught me what quilting is! So is he even from Minnesota or is he carpetbagging?” 2:28:58 PM 2/15/07 “He wants the government to buy everyone boots. He says it's the government's job to give everyone boots! Damn socialist!” 2:31:29 PM 2/15/07 “What a joker/joke!” 2:32:39 PM 2/15/07 “For a state that elected Jesse "the Body" Ventura as governor, anything is possible.” 2:35:27 PM 2/15/07 “So is he even from Minnesota or is he carpetbagging?” - Nigal http://www.tv.com/al-franken/person/41163/biography.html” 2:35:44 PM 2/15/07 “Would you vote for him, violin?” 2:37:12 PM 2/15/07 “He's like Hillary. He's returning to his roots after living in the NE most of his adult life.” 2:38:41 PM 2/15/07 “We will see if the Libbies demand for less vitrol and personal attacks is real or CRAP?” 2:39:04 PM 2/15/07 ““Would you vote for him, violin?” - Mutt Depending upon the other choices, quite possibly. He's a smart feller.” 2:40:50 PM 2/15/07 “Figures that VILE would vote in a state other than NJ. The NJ DEM motto is "Vote Early, Vote Often!"” 2:42:45 PM 2/15/07 “New Yorkers hate the phrase "Light at the end of the tunnel" becuase they realize the light...is New Jersey.” 2:51:13 PM 2/15/07 ““For a state that elected Jesse "the Body" Ventura as governor, anything is possible.” aero 2:35:27 PM 2/15/07 yep! LOL” 2:52:37 PM 2/15/07
