Drunk birds crash into building's glass

HOLLY

"As the holly groweth green
And never changeth hue,
So I am, ever hath been
Unto my lady true."
from Our Holly Tree

‘IT WAS LIKE AN ALFRED HITCHCOCK MOVIE’More than 100 birds slam into glass walls; many die "Mills said he was going to try to help save the birds, including putting tape on windows to help the birds avoid them or nets over the trees to keep them from eating the berries. James Macon, who handles maintenance for Middleburg Park, was applying blue tape to the building’s windows Wednesday. He also removed berries from the holly trees."

"Holly (Ilex spp.)-Berries are poisonous, causing vomiting, nausea and stupor even in small amounts. Red color invites sampling by birds." Plants Harmful to Birds

I used to work at a place where somthing similar happened. Birds (mostly pigeons)would try and fly into what appeared to be a dark opening in a wall to roost; it was really a black smoked, insulated glass wall. My cubicle was near the glass wall and it made you jump when a bird slammed into it.
