When the picture first started loading, I was afraid the nuns nabits backsides would be cut out and their butts showing.

Seems like something Mapes would post. LOL

maple, it looks like regular stools with manequin legs attached. You are in NY, right? Look for a manequin place and see about scoring some "legs" then dress them as you want with stuff from the thrift store.

The nuns are looking around to see if anybody is looking at them. No, nobody but some guy with a camera!

Somehow, I can't see myself carrying a bunch of women's legs out to my truck and throwing then in the back.
My picture would be on the pervert list within minutes. LOL

That DEFINATELY looks like it was set up! Five nuns, sitting at a bar? With "leggy" barstools? If not, they're definately nuns with a good sense of humor. Hope the Pope doesn't see it!

I find that...
seriously in bad taste...Nuns are a not to be made fun of, they sacrifice so that you gentiles can have somone to rap your knuckles in parochial school, or twist your ears when you make off color remarks.

No, Mapes your a bad person and should be tied to a bed post and have hot wax dripped onto your naked abdomen...but, you might just like that, so, i'll get back to you with an appropriate punishment.

Sickos!!!

“but how do you get the manequin legs strong enough to have people sit on them?”

I would say that the legs are drilled to accept a metal post. The seat would be attached to the metal posts and the legs are only a facade. The foot rail appears to be welded to the base plate. Quite a bit of work to have made here in the US. I say Walmart could sell them for $39.99 from China.

I think one of these lamps would be cool. ;-)
I've wanted one ever since I saw "A Christmas Story". LOL

You'll shoot your eye out!!!

Those would be easy to make Maple. Go to the mall or Department store and see if you can have the maniquen legs. A lot of the time they break or they cannot use them anymore, so they throw them out.

The legs are the hardest part. You can get the stuff for the stool at the nearest home improvement store.

Stovestomper, you can buy those lamps in full size or bedside size.

Try a Hosiery manufacturer. Ask about their Sales Displays.
If their price is too high or they won't sell, ask who makes the displays for them.
