Starting Feb 25th I will officially start carrying around a man purse.

Discuss.

Looks like a fanny pack with a handle option.

Why would a woman want to carry around a man purse?

Do you keep your Man Thong in it?

Mine will be the cinnamon color shown in the first picture... not the red.

That's a soft sided cooler, not a purse.

Gotta luv the Timbuktus. They accidentally sent us a duplicate of one we ordered, then told us to just keep it - it was easier than figuring out how to ship it back to them! I have a Timbuktu case for my cell phone....

et tu Sacco? I though think a NY socialite would be more worldly ;)

What can I say... I'm half Japanese... you see those asians with man purses all the time. I'm a little slow following the trend.

At home depot the other day, I was waiting in line at the register and in front of me were three "men" carrying purses, dressed in pastels and loafers, and generally behaving in less than masculine manner.

This is the only time I've seen a man carry a man purse. Draw your own conclusions.

I think DX needs to change his comments on his profile to give me some new shoes and a purse and I will be happy ;)

how many folks on here do you know from ny?

mapleleaf, treebeard, lumberzac, myself...

this should give you an idea of the type of 'socialites' that frequent these parts...

this reminds me of the confrontation between Andy Kaufman and Jerry Lawler on David Letterman. Kaufman said to Lawler I am not that type of guy, Lawler responds What type of Guy are you??

maybe you had to see it but it was funny, the next thing Lawler gets up and slaps Kaufman...later on you find out it was all a joke

The other half is north alabama redneck. Which is why I have an affinity for guns and four wheelin in the mud and camping and hiking and cigar smokin and cursing. Yes... I've been to the dump before to shoot rats with the .22 just for fun.

I keep forgetting. Half Asian, carrying around a purse with the strap extended might be OK. More so with a drab color.

haha, a pistol and a flask of whiskey.

if i were a guy, i would totally carry a man purse. what if i wanted to bring a book, some snacks, and a monkey to work? what would i carry them in?

A briefcase, a backpack, or a Walmart sack - not a sissy "man"bag.

I think it would be a good place to keep my phone and my pistol 0:)

DeoreDX

now that would be totally silly to carry a whole briefcase or backpack for just the amount of stuff that would fit in a man purse. i don't think having the right-sized container is sissy.

That's cause your a femme, lyra.

DDX - you're gonna carry your girlie gun in a "mans" purse? How will that help?
Bearmagnet

phone clips to your belt or pocket, gun can be put in the waist band on your backside, a long shirt covers it

DDX, didn't mention that it was my idea he get a man purse. I got tired of him complaining about losing his keys and leaving his wallet places.
I got a friend a similar bag for his birthday years ago. He loves it, especially now that he commutes by bus. He throws a book in there and snacks, etc. Sort of like Joey's sandwich. LOL!

Men have stuff to carry too. It can't all fit in their pockets. Well, maybe those Docker's pants with 10 pockets. Maybe.

I personally have been carrying a purse since age 2. I like to have my stuff with me wherever I go. LOL!

This is why people get shot. They put there life in a purse and then fight to the death defending it against an armed assailant.

pixie, you must be thinking about the gay guys on the west coast that have a lot of stuff it carry.

Other than the basic stuff like wallet/checkbook(back pocket),keys (front pocket) and phone(clips on belt) what else does a guy need to carry.

Hey! I love my P32!

I hate carrying around my 45 or my 40S&W. The little 32auto is just so darned easy to carry. I hardly ever carry any more... even though I have the permit.

I always have a hand full of crap when I goto the office. Bills... checkbook.. paperback... wallet... keys... water bottle... etc. Now I can stuff it all in one place and I won't lose my crap any more.

Yeah, the P32 is easy to carry, but that's about its only advantage. Really, for the amount you pay for a P32, and its not-so-sterling reputation for jamming, it makes more sense to get a G26, which is more accurate, never (or at least extremely rarely) jams, packs more punch, and is not that much more difficult to carry.

Why do people carry checkbooks???????????

BM, old habit on my part. I am carrying it less and less now
Ewker

I've never had my P32 jam. I've only put about 500 rounds through it though.

If you think a G26 is not much more difficult to carry... try carrying a P32 one day. There is a WORLD of difference. The thickness is what makes it so easy to carry. I've thought about going to the P3at for the extra punch of the 380 auto but I really don't carry much any more to justify the expense.
DeoreDX
12:45:37 PM
2/18/05

I carry a checkbook because I don't have a debt card :P
DeoreDX
12:46:30 PM
2/18/05

The P3AT is known to have feed/extraction and accuracy issues as well. Small and reliable is a difficult combo to achieve, apparently. I have to say I've never fired a P3AT, but I heard it doesn't have a slide lock, which would irritate me.

To each their own, but the negatives seem a pretty big compromise for ease of carry.
