WOOD-RIDGE, N.J. -- Paris Hilton's funeral humor is not funny to some Bergen County residents.

In a recent episode of Hilton and Nicole Richie's reality show "The Simple Life" set at a Wood-Ridge funeral home, the two drove a hearse, filled in a grave and held a mock funeral.

They also spilled what appeared to be human ashes onto a carpet and used a vacuum cleaner to fix the room.

Amy Van Dalinda said the Kohler Funeral Home handled the services for her father and other residents.

Seeing a mock funeral in the same room where her father's real one was held was upsetting to her.

But funeral home owner John Podesta says he would not have let the show be taped there if he thought it was undermine his business' reputation.”

“That act was stolen from the surviving Monty Pythons. Appearing in an HBO special some years back, they propped what was purported to be an urn containing the ashes of Graham Chapman on a table. In the course of the show, the urn got knocked over and they were scooping up the "ashes" and putting them back in the urn. Then a guy dressed in a butler uniform came out with a small vaccuum and started to vaccuum up the "ashes" before John Cleese shooed him offstage. The Pythons were funny. This was not.”

The difference is that the Pythons were trying to be funny and it was OBVIOUSLY a comedy bit....

Paris and Nicole are supposedly being "real" interns for a variety of jobs.
As the funeral home owner, I would have found that kind of nonsense completely unfunny in a "real job" situation. Didn't watch the show at all, what happened to them after they did that?”

I think if people didn't have such disdain for her based on PR more than anything, then she might be a bit more than an "average looking scrawny" chick to most.

You are absolutely right. I don't know them in person. From their antics, I'm not sure that I want to know them either...

I never said "Blonde and dumb" in my post... :-) You, however, did.... (Could it be that your Freudian Slip is showing?)

Status in the world: 2 socialites who have nothing better to do than to behave like idiots on TV. Note, I said idiots, because their antics aren't comedic in the least.

Bad decisions:
1 bad decision would be the "dropping of the urn in a real funeral home" (whether the ashes were real or not.) I would find that distasteful, air-heady and annoying even if they weren't rich and famous. Their antics are actually worse, because they KNOW that they are going to be filmed doing it. (I don't and won't watch the show, so I could care less what "led up to that scene.")

Rich or not, I won't give them any of my money and won't be watching their shows. They'll be a few dollars less rich because of me...

Here's my answer to the poll.

1) I'm not a man.
2) Drunk or not, I wouldn't find trampy men or women attractive.
3) Why would I want to run the risk of getting a sexually transmitted disease?
