I don't think I am bringing Daffers. I think I found a sitter.

The gift exchange is where everyone brings a little gift, we throw all of them in a bag, and pass the bag around the campfire. Everyone reaches in the bag and pulls out something other than what they brought, and WAHLAH! You got a surprise gift! I got a Nalgene bottle with a bandana and a carribeaner in it at Zaleski.

Are the times in the trip description Eastern or Central time? From the map, it appears the hike is right on the border of the two time zones.

You'll be close. I don't think the trail intersects the time zone line, but the end of the trail is really close.

Stovie, I cannot handle my right arm in a cast and this dog. If you knew her, you would understand. She has to be on a leash. I have to use trekking poles. I just can't see me doing all of this and not falling on my arse.

Are dogs even allowed? She is more like a cat, really. Climbs everything anytime, anywhere, and will probably jump off the bridge unless of course, Stovie is in charge.

That's okay, Maple. I don't do well flying either. When I know I have to fly, I start drinking daily a week before, the day before, the morning of, at the airport bar, while on the plane (beers are 5 bucks a can and I get two right away) and then I am so happy the plane landed that I celebrate by drinking some more as soon as I find an open bar. Last time I flew, I stayed drunk for three days...can't even remember who it was I went to see now.

Well, if you plan on drinking, you should just stay home as we southerers have very high moral standards when it comes to public intoxication ;~)

Ok,Yammie!
It may be time for the ole Tree to come out and bid fare-the-well to the chick who kicked my ass in Fantasy Football!

Dis' here trip interests me! I am thinking (hence, the smoke coming out of my ears) about renting an SUV or a van, picking up Mark-O the Shark-O in Towson, drugging Maple's ass, and cruising down to Tenny-see at a fast, Hunter Thompson-like fury to join you fine folks! What say I put meself down as a maybe and examine this phenomenon a little further?
