I was thinking that (there goes the smoke again). But, the Leaf of Maple may not be able to...

Therefore, we may have to kick this into Gonzo mode and get down there in 12 hours. That would mean we can't pick you up at your house. You will have to be standing with all your gear in the left lane on route 695.

I promise to slow down...

silly question but what is the weather for that area that time of year? still wintery like?
mapleleaf
4:23:41 PM
2/24/05

No, April is springtime there. So the weather is very variable, it could be chilly, it could be hot, but the extremes are unlikely. You'll just have to wait and see.

Lots of rain and thunderstorms are also possible.

Well some of the worst snowstorms I've been through when I lived in the big Ten was in April. It's pretty much a tossup on what you can get in April. The extremes of winter or the extremes of summer are possible... though unlikely.

The cost on the SUV has gotten toward the price of flying. I think we are going to get the old station wagon tuned up and highway-worthy for this one. So, I think we could pretty much make Mapes and I a definite on this little trip...

Yammy - I had this awesome plan that I started to put together in my head that had me driving down for the hike, staying the week to help ya get packed, and staying for the following weekend. But..... I just checked my university's website and realized I prolly have my final exam on April 28... :-(

(the good news is that it's my very last final exam for ever and ever. woo hoo)

I'll see what I can do about maybe convincing my prof to let me take it early. He seems to like me and has let me do it before (for FYAO).

New schedule for sea trials came out.
Right now, I have to work this weekend. :-(
I've removed myself as a 'maybe'.
Maybe the sea trial will change again.
