Yeah MarkO since that is pretty much their plan for us I figure turnabout is fair play.

MarkO is one of those who would negotiate with a psychotic killer:

MarkO "UM what do you want?"
KILLER: " TO KILL YOU."
MarkO: How bout if I give you some money not to kill me?
KILLER: "No deal I am going to kill you."
MarkO: How bout if I let you rape my children and wife..will you let me live?"
KILLER: "NO Deal I am going to kill you and your family anyway."
MarkO: "How bout if I let you kill half my family and cut off one arm?'
KILLER: "I am still going to kill you and your family."

The part you don't understand MarkO is that they want Isreal wiped out (Violin just wet himself reading that) and then we are next. After that anyone who is not ISLAMIC enough goes...LOL..that will be the Syrians, Egyptians, Saudis, Kuwaitis etc etc....

The only way to deal with evil is destroy it, pure and simple. There is a moving memorial in Washington DC on the Mall to what happens when well meaning people fail to see the danger of dealing strongly with Pure Evil.

VIOLIN! Dude...you never told me how it went in Gettysburg...darn only 30 showed up. Bummer huh (LOL).

Thanks a lot, dude!

There is also a monument on The Mall to the blood sacrifice of well-meaning people to failed foreign policy and the military industrial machine.
Some lied......many others died.

LOL - Iran has been very cleverly positioning itself to be the hegemonic force in the middle east, and MarkO refuses to see it.

Yet somehow he sees the U.S. giving Pakistan nukes in payment for air bases, Big Oil and the Military Industrial Complex behind every foreign policy decision, and God knows what other brainfried hippy bull#&%!$ conspiracies.

Why Mark??? Why come into every political thread with nothing but that which makes you appear a total doofus? I mean, even violin has some skill. He keeps his finger on (I'm guessing) quite a few far-left blogs/websites, to glean at least somewhat relevant talking points. You, however, have absolutely *nothing* to offer, and I seriously doubt anyone would disagree. What's the friggin' point?

Good One Mutt....you know I love the left, you bring up the last War we let the Generals fight (WW II) and the bring up the first war the politicians really fought (Vietnam). UM Mark0 you know that in Vietnam the US Military never lost a unit, or a battle. In fact when you look at the stats they were winning when you bunch at the other end of the Mall pulled out.

Is anyone catching the fun of the HEROIC MEDIA PROTECTORS OF FREE SPEECH at ABC as they cower like a puppy and pee themselves silly when the Clintonistas tell them not to run the 9/11 show...(LOL)....

Israeli Minister Says 'We Will Attack Iran' if
Friday , June 06, 2008

JERUSALEM

An Israeli daily says Cabinet Minister Shaul Mofaz has said Israel should attack Iran if it continues with its nuclear program.

The Yediot Ahronot newspaper quotes Mofaz as saying "If Iran will continue with its plan to develop nuclear weapons, we will attack it."

Mofaz's office did not return a call requesting comment on Friday's report. The daily says that Mofaz has warned that the economic sanctions against Iran are not effective. Yediot reports that Mofaz has said that the United States would back any Israeli attack.

Reuters quotes Mofaz as saying "Attacking Iran, in order to stop its nuclear plans, will be unavoidable."

Mofaz is a former defense minister and army chief. He would like to replace Prime Minister Ehud Olmert as head of the Kadima Party in light of a corruption scandal that threatens to bring Olmert down.

Mofaz, who was born in Iran, responded to calls from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, that Israel to be wiped off the map, by saying Iran "would disappear before Israel does," according to a Reuters report.

Mofaz comments were a rare direct threat against Iran from any official in Olmert's cabinet.

The isrealies are not kidding, they have bombed arab nuke plants before. I dont blame them, better to risk a conventional war then ignore the problem and get wiped out for it.

Then again the war drums are warming up to attack Iran and steal thier oil. I just hope the warmongers are going to be a bit smarter and wipe out the Iranian population so we dont have to go through the exspense of occupying a second country....

Sooner or later we will have blood for oil, its only a question of who will attack first.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Barack Obama toughened his terms for diplomacy with Iran and backed Israel's stance on Jerusalem on Wednesday in his first foreign policy speech since capturing the Democratic nomination for U.S. president.

The Illinois senator vowed to stop Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon and insisted Jerusalem should be the undivided capital of the Jewish state in a speech to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, a pro-Israel lobby group.

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - An Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear sites looks "unavoidable" given the apparent failure of sanctions to deny Tehran technology with bomb-making potential, one of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's deputies said on Friday.

"If Iran continues with its program for developing nuclear weapons, we will attack it. The sanctions are ineffective," Transport Minister Shaul Mofaz told the mass-circulation Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper.

Preparing the Battlefield
The Bush Administration steps up its secret moves against Iran.
by Seymour M. Hersh
July 7, 2008

Operations outside the knowledge and control of commanders have eroded the coherence of military strategy, one general says.

Late last year, Congress agreed to a request from President Bush to fund a major escalation of covert operations against Iran, according to current and former military, intelligence, and congressional sources. These operations, for which the President sought up to four hundred million dollars, were described in a Presidential Finding signed by Bush, and are designed to destabilize the countrys religious leadership. The covert activities involve support of the minority Ahwazi Arab and Baluchi groups and other dissident organizations. They also include gathering intelligence about Irans suspected nuclear-weapons program.

Clandestine operations against Iran are not new. United States Special Operations Forces have been conducting cross-border operations from southern Iraq, with Presidential authorization, since last year. These have included seizing members of Al Quds, the commando arm of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, and taking them to Iraq for interrogation, and the pursuit of high-value targets in the Presidents war on terror, who may be captured or killed. But the scale and the scope of the operations in Iran, which involve the Central Intelligence Agency and the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), have now been significantly expanded, according to the current and former officials. Many of these activities are not specified in the new Finding, and some congressional leaders have had serious questions about their nature.

Dems Tougher on Iran than Advertised
by Craig Crawford
June 30, 2008
6:00 AM

If Democratic congressional leaders are signing on to George W. Bush's covert war against Iran, as Seymour Hersh reports in The New Yorker, does it really matter which party wins the White House in November? On this front at least, it seems that Bush gets a third term no matter which party wins.

Perhaps fostering regime change in Iran is the best policy for the U.S. But that is not how Democrats have campaigned in this election year. Barack Obama, the presumed Democratic nominee, stands for talks, not belligerence, in dealing with Iran.

"Some members of the Democratic leadership . . . were willing, in secret, to go along with the Administration in expanding covert activities directed at Iran."
-- Seymour Hersh, The New Yorker

Give John McCain credit for publicly saying what Democrats apparently acknowledge only in private. The presumed GOP nominee unabashedly supports tough actions against Iran.

But Democrats appear to be talking soft while advocating the rough stuff behind the scenes.

These idiots never learn -----

"The Administration may have been willing to rely on dissident organizations in Iran even when there was reason to believe that the groups had operated against American interests in the past. The use of Baluchi elements, for example, is problematic, Robert Baer, a former C.I.A. clandestine officer who worked for nearly two decades in South Asia and the Middle East, told me. The Baluchis are Sunni fundamentalists who hate the regime in Tehran, but you can also describe them as Al Qaeda, Baer told me. These are guys who cut off the heads of nonbelieversin this case, its Shiite Iranians. The irony is that were once again working with Sunni fundamentalists, just as we did in Afghanistan in the nineteen-eighties. Ramzi Yousef, who was convicted for his role in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who is considered one of the leading planners of the September 11th attacks, are Baluchi Sunni fundamentalists."
