Okayyyyy, here I am in the Bluetick Tower with no heat. I woke up this morning and my legs were cold, but the radiators were colder. I fired up the oven to warm up the kitchen and my little catalytic heater to warm the bathroom. The hot water heater is still working (thank God for that), so I had a hot shower.

Tonight I tried to relight the pilot light, but it must be clogged up. So I called the landlord. He won't be able to get somebody here until tomorrow, so I brought up a sleeping bag so I can get a night's sleep without freezing. The outside temp will be in the teens tonight and we've had strong winds all evening as a front blew through. Looks like a fun night ahead, and a great time crawling out of the sack in the morning.

Hmmmm. Thought this thread had potential to be funny; maybe as funny as Geezr's backyard campout a couple years back. Oh well...

Well, it does get me to thinking of that movie in which Danny DeVito played a slumlord a few years back.

How's it going today, Geo?

He's frozen! GEOBEET, WAKE UP! CAN YOU HEAR US MAN?! yep, solid ice. I hope that landlord's happy (I bet if it was his mother who had no heat he would have been right over)
I hope you didn't try to make it through the night in that Kelty bag. ;)

No, I was snug and warm in my sleeping bag last night. That was me when I unzipped the bag this morning.

I've had worse awakenings though. At least my water bottle wasn't frozen solid.
