Anyone interested?
I'm interested in putting a trip on the SHT together for sometime in May. I've been looking at starting in Silver City and going up to or through Finland.

Would anyone be interested in joining?

haha, I'm assuming silver bay as well - Mid May I might be available. That's a great section of the trail, I've hiked it more times than I can remember.

Are you thinking midweek? Maybe the 12-? I might be free around then, but I am not for sure.

First of all, yes, I meant Silver Bay. Hehe, I was thinking of SIlver City near the Porcupines in Michigan!

I am thinking of something around the 12th of May through the weekend.

I'd like to do something like Finland Rec Center to Silver Bay. What do you think? Would be a nice hike. Rugged terrain but a nice hike. I'd like to find a way to get our last night at Bear Lake. Love that campsite!!

Let me know what ya think. Maybe I'll post it on the trips page.

Yeah, that's a nice hike, and bear lake is a wonderful site.

Plan the trip, maybe you'll find others to come, post it on the trips page.

I might be interested in going? I have a tentative trip planned with some Rover's out of MN to the SHT in June-but it's not definate & I really want to get up there this spring-so if that plan falls through, I might be interested in joining you for this trip? I was considering getting a few people I know on my own and going up if the Rover's trip fell through-but then I saw your thread.

Sorry I'm not making the BWCA trip-sounds like fun but just wasn't sure of the weather in April and the Lizs trip came up and decided that would be better for me-plus I wouldn't have to miss so many vacation days! But a May trip up north I've done before and doesn't worry me quite so much!

I'll keep an eye out for the trip if you decide to plan one and my other plans fall through!
