Well, that's what SGT Rock says!
http://www.ionstove.com./index.htm

Coolness!

SGT Rock has started selling his stoves, pot stands, and windscreens.

I like the little Ti potstand he makes!

He still has do it yourself instructions if you wish to make your own.
I know I'll be trying one of this design soon.

Mine's lighter. I just cup my hand, pour in the HEET and light it up!

hummm world's lightest huh well maybe it all depends on the definition of "stove" - the burner I use (a tea light candle tin) I think is less than .1 ounce (right StoveStomper ?) which means it is less that 1/4 of the burner for the ION stove but it is unmodified, has no jets, I don't sell them, etc. so it may not meet the definition of "stove" that SGT Rock is using. Actually I think its just the usual mraketing catch phrase and doesn't really refer to non-comercial stoves.

I use that same method Nigel except I wrap my hand in foil first. Mine is a little heavier.

Still, it's a neat design.

how much weight difference are you talking about between the ion stove and a reg alcohol stove 1-2 ozs??

I built a prototype stove during lunch. I always cut up a can an experiment with my coke cans during lunch. I think the priming ring is too high to be effective... but it does integrate the pot stand. The design is based upon the same principal as my previous one can stove. I'll fire her up later today. I have a gajillion single coke can stove designs now... some good... some terrible.

Your dedication to improving this design is greatly appreciated- Thanks Stovestomper!
I knew I was on the right track when I started fooling with the red bull design. I experimented with the same amount of fuel in 3 different red bulls, and 3 different pepsi designs. I find it alot of fun to use my desk time at work to manufacture these stoves. Lots of recycling material here as well:) How did you come across the wedding tins?
