Bloodborne Pathogens
Pathogenic microorganisms that are present in human blood and can cause disease in humans. Route may be through ingestion, sex, wound puncture, etc. These pathogens include, but are not limited to, hepatitis B virus (HBV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).

Other examples include microorganisms that cause hepatitis C, Malaria, Syphilis, Babesiosis, Brucellosis, Leptospirosis, Arboviral infections, Relapsing fever, Creutzfeld-Jakob Disease, Human T-lymphotrophic Virus Type 1, and Viral Hemorrhagic Fever (VHF).

VHF's are quite exciting.
