“I just feel betrayal is due to a particular person and not all males, where I do believe from what I've seen, men do tend to mistrust more after a betrayal. I can certainly understand why they would feel that way, but you can't let some previous loser woman ruin your life where you don't trust any woman anymore.

If some guy cheated on me, I would move on without a thought of the next guy being the same. How can you ever date again or feel comfortable if you bring that baggage to a new relationship? I say, don't let the past loser change you unless there is something you need to learn to make yourself a better person.

What I call being dumb is putting all your assets in your wife's name without a prenutial, because you can move on from a cheating woman with no problem, but you can't take funds with you from a bad divorce, so I would look to protect myself monetarily more so than thinking the next guy will cheat on me. A person can be replaced, money can't, not always.

I thought I heard on a show that e-harmony.com does an extensive form w/questions on each person on their personality and other issues, so that may be a good way to meet people with the same moral values etc.”

“highcountry, I'm glad you put a smiley face or I would not know if you were being sarcastic. Well, I am 46 or 47, I forget, but I have been through a lot and have seen a lot.

I just hate to see a nice guy ruin a good relationship that may come along, because of a bad past experience. I know it's not easy to shake off a bad experience like cheating, especially if it's your first time around with someone cheating on you. My first time was a real killer. I was totally blindsided, but I felt I left him so that he can be some other poor girls problem. He cried and cried saying he didn't want me to leave. He was the one that had the nerve to try and shoot me when I went to leave.”
