Cheap T's?View MessagesViewing posts 1 to 15 of 15 messages posted.
“Anyone know of any good off-brand t-shirts? Paying $20 for a polyester t-shirt has always bothered me. Any suggestions?” 10:29:36 PM 3/13/05 “Wal-Mart Starter brand. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=3399567 last edited: 3/13/05 10:53:58 PM” 10:51:42 PM 3/13/05 “Ahhh wally world...is there anything they don't sell? 12.95 beats 20 any day of the week.” 10:54:36 PM 3/13/05 “BTW...thanks. I feel stupid for not thinking of it myself.” 10:55:02 PM 3/13/05 “Well, some people here will think you are the spawn of satan for shopping there and sneer at you. Not me, I love Wal-Mart shopping. ;-)” 10:58:11 PM 3/13/05 “Wal-Mart also sells some Polyster T's for $7.44. They are made by Starter but are non-compression style. Target also carries Dry Management shirts by Champion for $10.” 11:03:23 PM 3/13/05 “Check out the Nike Outlet at Opry Mills. You can get good deals there. Also Target.” 11:09:33 PM 3/13/05 “What is the difference between compression and non-compression?” 11:13:38 PM 3/13/05 “Compression ones are tight like Under Armor. Unless you have a much much better figure then I do you probably want the non-compression. They sell a couple of different weaves too... I prefer the lighter almost mesh style weave. They also have a new version that feels almost like cotton.” 6:36:48 AM 3/14/05 “Why not go to REI, I usually get my poly shirts there for about $10.” 7:02:52 AM 3/14/05 “http://www.campmor.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=7109778&memberId=12500226 I have a few other more expensive hiking shirts and these work just as well for me.” 7:52:32 AM 3/14/05 “I've never seen a poly shirt at REI for $20, not unless it's a scratch n dent. Hell even the udnerwear is $20.00. I like REI but they are expensive. I prefer to shop at my local Army surpluss store or Bass Pro Shop. There are a few things that only REI carries that I will buy from them. Put it this way...this year my dividend payment was $1.70 from REI.” 8:27:56 AM 3/14/05 “Poor bionicear, I get super cheap, high quality, brand name hiking clothes from REI all the time, just gotta know where to look.” 8:38:54 AM 3/14/05 “buy them from local hikeing stores to keep them in buisness. thanks.” 4:53:45 PM 3/15/05 “Not on their website but bmrisko is right "Wal-Mart also sells some Polyster T's for $7.44." I have several... the "tagless tag" printed on the inside back neck says RN#70892. The SKU on the tag is739754482342. It's made from their trademarked "Dri-Star" material. It has a little scotchbtite "dri-star" logo on the left sleeve. They're great... I also have UnderArmour's "Dri-Tech" shirts... 3 times the money and no better! Buy em now cuz Starter was just bought by Nike and you KNOW what that mean$” 5:34:11 PM 3/15/05
