Marines driven out of Detroit UAW lot

“The United Auto Workers union says Marines in foreign cars, displaying Bush stickers unwelcome.
The UAW no longer will allow Marine reservists who work out of a base in Detroit to park at the Solidarity House lot if they have foreign cars or display pro-Bush bumper stickers.

Non-union contractors and drivers of foreign cars get to park in the lot furthest from the entrance.
Seems petty, but they're just looking out for their own interests. If the union represented me, I'd want prickz like that too.

First are the unanswered questions:

1) Did the UAW single out the Marines, or was it all cars, or all non-member cars?
2) Why wasn't a UAW person interviewed?

But more importantly, note that the UAW was offering the Marines free parking. Meanwhile, Republican businesses like Haliburton overcharge the US military for all kinds of things.

Secondly, the article notes that the UAW is giving the VFW a 300K dollar home in Eaton Rapids fore a residential program for children of veterans who don't have parents, or whose parents can't care for them. How much would Haliburton charge for a 300,000 home?

So yeah, the UAW seems to be a little touchy here and looks foolish - but lets get real for a change.”

The UAW is a very important part of the Dem Party, by extension, they ARE the Dem Party.

I don't see where that's 'silly'. What I do think is 'silly' is Libs #&%!$ing and moaning and making personal attacks on me for expressing a viewpoint other than their own. Their complaint is with me posting a thread pointing out something they would rather not read.
