BackSlacker...
After seeing Stik's tri-light, I wanted a freestanding tent of similar construction and weight. I chose the MSR Hubba because of its side entry, but the Big Agnes Seedhouse SL is basically the same design with an end entry like the tri-light.

I think I am going to go with this bivvy by Black Diamond.

This is the one LT has right?

I've looked at them as well, not that particiular model, but I like the ones that have the little hoop pole to keep the cover off your face. Match that puppy up with a tarp and your set!

That's what I do Roam, I have an OR Advanced Bivy, most of the time I take it by itself, but sometimes I'll carry a lightweigt tarp. Don't need anything else.

Yep, I saw Pennsy set up like that once and it looked like an ideal shelter solution.

For long distance hikes in cool/cold weather, I use the OR bivy/tarp setup. With stakes and rope I'm right at 40oz. Works for me!

I love the one I have. 9 oz !!
Its really meant to be used under a tarp though. the bottom is waterproof, but the top is only water repellent.

Take a look at Integral Designs Bivy's - I had a Salathe and just replaced it with an Event Unishelter. Great products.
