That's pretty cool. I grew up in the mountains outside Albuquerque, and one of our pets growing up was a donkey named Jack. In fact, my parents still have him at their house... he's quite old.

This reminds me of stories my mom and dad told of riding horses to school. Mom lived in Wisconsin and rode to her one room schoolhouse which was about 4 miles away. In the winter they had a sleigh bus to pick the kids up. My dad lived in Kansas and his Uncle gave him an old plow horse to ride. He said they rode bareback and could fit 5 kids on that horse's back.
