It really won't stop people from traveling. The amount of gas I use to travel to work each year in my F150 pick-up, would equal the amout of fuel I burn in my boat in 48 hours. It's a good thing I only run the boat 3 to 4 hours at a time.”

“I get a kick out of how people complain about the cost of a gallon of gas. But then they buy a bottle of water. People, do you realize how much a gallon of water costs when you purchase it by the 16-oz or 1L bottle? At least $6/gallon. Water isn't even refined like gasoline is.

“I noticed Wolfeyes. $2.20.9 on Saturday in Slyon MI. I drive 100 miles a day commuting to work. I guess I look at it the way Chief does except that I don't think "cost of living" raises are very common anymore and salaries aren't being reported on the rise. We're all just being squinched a little at a time.

“Paid $2.179 this morning. Has anyone else noticed that their gas mileage has dropped over the past 2 years? I was averaging about 27 mpg two summers ago, and now I'm lucky if I get 24. I think the gas has more contaminates in it which is building up in my engine.

Yes, which I do realize will affect the gas mileage, but my hiking partner has noticed the same thing with his car and his car is only a year old.”
