I read somewhere on TT of others planning to meet there on Friday. I'll be there, maybe treebait, HPM with some seasoned scouts and, I hope, Smokygirl. It would be great to see you there, too.

What time?

CS is going to pick up the kids today and I might wait until Saturday to go to Clarksville.

I plan to arrive at 7 PM. Anytime will be fine.

Smokygirl will be there, too. Maybe you can ride together. See:

Somewhere, earlier, treebait indicated that they would be there. If she sees this thread, that might cinch it.

I'm going to spend Friday night at Cosby CG.

Baume - it takes about 1.5 hours... you can take the newport exit or the Foothills Parkway West (if its open) to Cosby. Take 32 into Cosby... Front Porch is on left before you get to 321 turn-off towards Greenbriar and Gatlinburg.

Nowslimmer, Azimuth, my Dad, my girlfriend's son, and I will be staying in Cosby CG for the weekend.

Chili - you and CS going?

HPM and Treebait going?

If I get to the Front Porch before anyone else, how many should I say for a table or did you guys want to sit together and is it okay if I invite myself?

Towndawg?

I'm guessing 7 to 10, including your group, HPM and Treebait, plus maybe the scouts.

Please bring your pictures from Okeefenokee Swamp, if possible. Thanks.

Very good to see you again, Nowslimmer! My Dad said last night that you inspired him!

Miles, my young friend, had a wonderful hike for his first ever hike. Hopefully, I will have him converted before long...

It was great catching up with you and HPM! I described Laurel's pictures in a very high voice to Azimuth the next morning! I hope your ride back to FL was smooth.

I was so happy that Miles got to meet you all and was able to experience and overhear Mr. Dinwiddie and all of us discuss bping. His hike up Mt. Cammerer was monumental and even though Miles was bushed Sunday morning, he was still giddy and wanted to hike to Hen Wallow Falls of which we did. All in all, a very lovely weekend!!

Very cool about Miles' hike! All of I 95 in Ga. was a stop and go or a parking lot. I'dve been back by 2 if things were smooth. Instead, I got back at about 5:30. Bleah. The biggest slowdown was a 16 mile long constructon zone, or so I thought; the worst offender there turned out to be an Isuzu trooper with serious mechanical problems, in the right lane, incapable of going over 10 mph. They never pulled over or got off at an exit. They just kept going and slowing everyone else down. They had a Maryland tag, by the way.

I hate I missed it, but I did the right thing and went to visit my brother for Easter since my mother was there.
