A few weeks ago while visiting Lauri's sister in Red Bluff, which is a town you've either heard of or haven't, I took a few hours and headed up to Dunsmuir and hiked into Mossbrae Falls again with Heidi and Sierra. I was surprised to find it still fairly lush and green in the middle of winter. Okay, I was a little more than surprised... I couldn't believe it and I took off all my clothes and went screaming up and down the river, "I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S STILL GREEN IN JANUARY, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S STILL GREEN IN JANUARY!!!) I did this over and over until I finally accepted the fact that it was still green. Plus I was getting tired and hoarse. It's a great place to just relax and smoke crack and shoot meth and plink away at the local wildlife with a .22 pistol. One of these days I'll be serious and you won't believe me.

If I get around to scanning more waterfall shots from this trip I'll be sure to post 'em. Thank you for choosing Trail Talk® as your source for online wilderness adventure discussions. Please return your seats and tray tables to their locked and upright position.

Here's another shot of 'part' of Mossbrae Falls from my last trip. My slides come in slowly. Hike on.

Wow, we wander up and down CA all the time. Definitely, that's a place to see.

Have you gone to the corner cafe, whatever its name is, in Dunsmuir? If not, give it a try, but realize it is addicting, way worse than that other stuff you're jokingly ingesting. Our car just leaves hwy 5 as we attempt to drive by.
