“My wife is rabid about Godiva chocolates. They aren't cheap. They do however sell off all of the valentine's themed boxes for 1/2 price the day after valentines day. I think they do the same after Christmas. Just an FYI for you high quality chocolate freaks out there.

“TB - those chocolate squarea are great. Ghiardelli has wonderful hot chocolate mix too. At Downtown Disney they have an entire Ghiardelli store. We didn't go when at Disney this past Oct, but are going back in Sept. Dang work conferences happen in the worst places.”

It's run out of a basement (Everything is painted pure white)in a home during the cooler months of the year. They don't produce in the summer--too hot--the chocolate melts.

“Hay Gemini, you ever try eating just plain ol' Bakers Chocolate. It is the best dark chocolate you can get. I carry it backpacking with me for an energy boost. Not much sugar in it though. I love dark chocolate.”

“I love chocolate from Europe, particularly Belgium. My mom and I were in Brugge and we found this mom and pop run chocolate shop. Best damn chocolate I've ever ever had. Truffles, homemade chocolate covered liquor soaked cherries. Oh God! Unfortunately we were there during a very hot heat wave and we couldn't take any with us. The few we bought and tried to take out of the air conditioned store melted in minutes.
I found a place near Pike Place Market recently that has Kinder Bueno. Boy are they bueno! LOL!”

I like Baci and Mon Cheri. They both have hazelnuts. Baci is an Italian candy meaning kiss, and has a saying in each wrapped candy about kissing or something like that. I haven't seen a store with them in years.”

Gem, a great (delish, decadant, never know they aren't as bad for you as the worst, most fattening high calorie brownies in the world) brownie recipe from Cooking light, for you:
Bourbon Fudge Brownies
(I substitute Baileys for bourbon)

1/4C bourbon
1/4C semisweet choc chips
1 1/2C all-purpose flour
1/2C unsweetened cocoa
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/3 C sugar
6 tbsp butter, softened
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 large
cooking spray

1) Preheat oven to 350°
2) Bring bourbon (use hot milk instead if desired) to a boil in a small saucepan, remove from heat and add choc chips, stirring until smooth.
3)Lightly spoon flour into measuring cups and level with knife. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt, stirring with a whisk.
4) combine butter and sugar in a large bowl, beat at med speed until well combined. Add vanilla and eggs, beat well. Add bourbon mixture and dry mixture and beat at low until just combined.
5) spread in a 9x9 pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until a pick comes out clean (I leave mine alittle gooey). 20 servings.

We have trappist monks in the Kewenaw penesula (I know that's spelled wrong, it'll get editted otherwise) that make breads and jams, among other things. Their thimbleberry jam is to die for.
