Bomber Mountain Coordinates

“I am trying to find the coordinates to the B-17 Bomber that is on Bomber Mountain in the Bighorn Mountains in Wyoming. I have tried to find them at other sites and I can't locate the bomber on Sat photos so if anyone can help I would appreciate it.”

“Acording to www.topowest.com, It's in Johnson Co, quadname Lake Helen, quad 044107c2 at 442136N by 1071024W......How much is left of the wreck????”

“From what I have seen on a few websites the tail is fairly intact and the tailgunner's position is in good shape. It hit the mountain on the ridgeline and part of it stayed on the east side and part on the west. According to the guide we are hiring to take us into the Cloud Peak Resevoir there is still a considerable amount of wreckage scattered about. He said his friend found an aluminum bottle of vick's eye drops and when he opened it the vick's was still there. I can't wait to visit it in August, it should be pretty cool. We plan on hiking to it and then spending the night on the leeward side of the mountain before heading back to the lakes below Cloud Peak.”
