Ok, time got away from me (It's Geo's fault) on Saturday's show and I did not get this segment on. Please continue with the great posts this week, so we can make this bigger and better for next Saturday...

I had a discussion a few weeks back about that ELO song,,that has 'don't bring me down Bruce' in it and then there is that one song I think by The Proclaimers, that 500 mile song, and it sounds like they are saying Pterodactyl over and over in the background chorus.

does inagodadavida count?

it's kind of the ultimate misinterpreted lyric, isn't it?

There was always the 'In-the-Garden-Of-Eden' interpretation...

it was suppose to be in the garden of eden but when the guy was telling him the lyrics/ idea for the song it was over the phone and he was so wasted they thought he just said inagodadavida.

they ended up actually changing the lyrics to the gibberish after all.

The gibberish sounded better anyway!

i just did some googlin' to find the story about that, but what i found was different than what i had heard before (about the phone conversation)

i guess it was the garden of eden but the band so f'd up when they recorded it it came out as gibberish and it just stuck.

CCR- "oh lord stuck in lodi again" sounds like "oh lord stuck in Novi Again"

Also "I see a bath-room arising, i see trouble on the way... theres a bath room on the right"

My girlfriend sang both of those lyrics on a road trip (we were listening to CCR's greatest hits) I almost peed my pants :)

Wait! Switchfoot is "some crappy pop song out today"??? Try again

"Dare You To Move"

Welcome to the planet
Welcome to existence
Everyone's here
Everyone's here
Everybody's watching you now
Everybody waits for you now
What happens next
What happens next

[Chorus]
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
Like today never happened
Today never happened before

Welcome to the fallout
Welcome to resistance
The tension is here
Tension is here
Between who you are and who you could be
Between how it is and how it should be

[Chorus]

Maybe redemption has stories to tell
Maybe forgiveness is right where you fell
Where can you run to escape from yourself?
Where you gonna go?
Where you gonna go?
Salvation is here

I dare you to move
I dare you to move
I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
Like today never happened
Today never happened
Today never happened
Today never happened before

I remember one...
I was about 15 years old when the War song came out: Why Can't We Be Friends. Our neighbors had 2 girls one 3 and one 5 Years old. They thought it said: I Can Really Stand!
I still remember them signing that song and dancing around (barely standing)!!!
