Hey folks. My father and I went down to the Suwannee in FL a few weeks ago. Thanks for everyone's info and opinions leading up to the trip. I finally have some pics and info on my website.

We had a great time but it didn't go as planned. The water was up. This meant that we didn't get to start as far up on the river as we wanted to, that we travelled down the river quickly, and that we got to the wider part of the river sooner. We could have pushed our take-out farther downstream but we were enjoying the larger river less.

Like I said, we had a great time and it was definitely worth it. I should have been more patient, though and waited until the water came down.

Check out the website for pics and more details. As always, opinions, comments, constructive critcism, and questions are all welcome.

Thanks.
MM.

Very nice. Thanks for sharing. The pic of the palmettos at your tent and the previous one showing your whole camp are especially nice.

Glad you had a great time. I recognize the terrain if not the exact spot in a few of your pictures. The character of the river changes dramatically according to water level.

Little Shoals can be lots of fun when the river is at normal height. Those sandbars, especially the ones between the bridge and Spirit of the Suwannee, are beautiful during normal river height.

That sure is a lot of paddling. You must be a milemonster.
