Anyone use this stuff. It's like Triptease but lighter. It is also tangle resistant. I bought it cause I was tired of the 550 cord that I use getting tangled up all of the time. It's uberlight and ain't that the point when you're tarpin it?

What's the diameter? Triptease is pretty light already, any lighter and it would feel like it wasn't there.

AirCore Pro vs. Kelty Triptease
Compare the specifications of AirCore Pro to the industry standard for "ultralight" guyline cord: Kelty Triptease. Triptease has a breaking strength of only 188 pounds (85 kg), which is decreased by significant moisture aborption (and has been known to fail in high winds in cold temperatures after absorbing moisture and freezing), yet weighs 0.0290 oz/ft (2.70 g/m) - AirCore Pro is 45% lighter and has 3X the breaking strength of Kelty Triptease.

Is it reflective like Triptease?

No it's bright yellow though. But considering I've been using army 550 cord it's definatly more high-visability.
I thought I included a link in the initial post: http://www.backpackinglight.com/cgi-bin/backpackinglight/aircore_pro_dyneema_spectra_guyline_cord_50_ft.html

Given enough wind any material will fail.

If the cord is stronger than the tent it is attached to, the tent guy point will rip out.

Sort of like long line fishing, the main line will always have a higher breaking strength than the snelled lines with the hooks.

Where do you want your failure to occur ?

Lot cheaper and easier to re-rig guy lines than to sew up the tent.

I really don't expect to be out in gale conditions. I got it for it's weight savings, visability, & tangle resistance.
