Need a new sleeping bag, just one catch. ..View MessagesViewing posts 1 to 8 of 8 messages posted.
“I am looking for a new sleeping bag. Only thing is I am 6'-4" 240lbs. (genetic alteration from working out ) I need a sleeping bag that is light weight and yet roomy especially in the shoulders. Very seldom do I camp where it gets below zero, so a 20-45 degree rating is fine. Anyone have any suggestions?” 12:53:39 PM 4/06/05 “What ya want to spend? http://www.westernmountaineering.com/index.cfm?section=Products&page=Sleeping%20Bags&cat=ExtremeLite%20Series&viewpost=2&ContentId=19 http://www.westernmountaineering.com/index.cfm?section=Products&page=Sleeping%20Bags&cat=ExtremeLite%20Series&viewpost=2&ContentId=28 Check out the long size on these two. last edited: 4/06/05 12:59:41 PM” 12:54:31 PM 4/06/05 “Last year's long....34" wide http://www.campmor.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=20946919&memberId=12500226 Last year's model....36.5" wide http://www.campmor.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?memberId=12500226&productId=20946922 This year's model.... http://www.campmor.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?memberId=12500226&productId=39174364 Last year's model....I have one of these. Lifetime warranty on the bag, including loft. http://www.wiggys.com/ http://www.wiggys.com/moreinfo.cfm?Product_ID=65 "WIGGY’S GUARANTEE: Our Guarantee is for a lifetime of use. If a seam opens, the zipper breaks or the Lamilite insulation deteriorates (such as losing its loft or separating, clumping in one place or another), Wiggy’s will repair or replace your bag at no charge to you." last edited: 4/06/05 1:21:33 PM” 1:14:13 PM 4/06/05 “if you can stretch to it then the Western Mountaineering large bags will fit ya” 1:24:44 PM 4/06/05 1:39:55 PM 4/06/05 “Western Mountaineering is the only way to go. They're big size fits to 6'6". I suggest an Aspen model. And made in the USA by people who know sleeping bags.” 4:18:25 PM 4/06/05 “I have broad shoulders as well (though Im not 6 friggin 4!) and found the REI SynCat to be the roomiest in the shoulders. The long is supposed to be good for up to 6'6" peeps. Check it out. http://www.rei.com/product/47852971.htm? That's the +20 version, they also make a +0 last edited: 4/06/05 4:45:46 PM” 4:41:44 PM 4/06/05
