PHILADELPHIA (KYW 1060) A group of boy scouts on a nature hike in Fairmount Park discover the body of a man floating in the Wissahickon Creek.

The man's identity is being withheld. The cause of death is under investigation.

Philadelphia Police say around 10 o'clock Saturday morning the scouts were hiking along the creek near Valley Green Road.

Lt. Norman Davenport:

"A boy scout troop is on a field walk on the otherside of the waterway . One of them sees at the time what he believes to be a manikine after further investigation it was determined indeed it was a human body on the waterway."

The body of the man was transported to the medical examiner's office to detrmine the cause of death.”
