“Took the family and some friends to Stone Door (South Cumberlands, Tn.). The weather was awesome!!! Our friends were from Colorado and they were very impressed with the park and the trails! Have a look and enjoy! http://community.webshots.com/user/seminolebri” 9:37:15 AM 4/12/05 “cool pics. That area is a really great place to go hiking.” 9:47:52 AM 4/12/05 “very cool pics dude. Your family looks very comfortable in the woods.” 9:49:46 AM 4/12/05 “BTW, you are the Man for backpacking all that gear into your base camp ;-)” 9:50:16 AM 4/12/05 “Well.... We cheated! we stayed at the Ranger Station. The campsite is 200 yrds from the parking lot.. :)” 10:02:26 AM 4/12/05 “Have you seen the al/ga/nc kids hike thread? Trip http://www.thebackpacker.com/trips/trip/628.php thread http://www.thebackpacker.com/trailtalk/thread/36327,-1.php” 10:06:11 AM 4/12/05 “I would chose Savage Falls. (2.2 miles) Great camp site with metal fire pit grill, privy house, and 100 yrds from the falls. The only problem with hiking and camping now is we have had a very mild winter and the ticks are already out of control in N. Ala and South Tenn.” 10:13:58 AM 4/12/05 “Love that shot on the 300-ft high overhang. That thing looks like its ready to fall any minute now. And that shot of the pot pie made me hungry.” 10:17:54 AM 4/12/05 “And it was GOOD!!! It was real easy to make. Prepared the chicken and gravy at home. Poured into the dutch oven and placed the batter on top. set in the fire and put some coals on top and in no time.. HOT CHICKEN POT PIE!!! Oh I wish I had some now!! : )” 10:31:33 AM 4/12/05 “nice photo's...coming up out of the canyon thru Stone Door is kinda neat... weather looked nice for morning coffee...” 11:03:12 AM 4/12/05 “The weather was great. H - mid 70's L - lower 50's. Nothing but blue skies” 11:27:10 AM 4/12/05 “Nice pics! Stone door was the first place I ever went rock climbing. Cool place!” 11:46:36 AM 4/12/05 “SCRA is my favorite short notice getaway. It is well maintained and hardly ever crowded.” 12:09:21 PM 4/12/05 “Just be careful on those rocks, esp. with young children. BTW there are hugh rattlesnakes under those rocks at the overlooks. TWRA did a show on them not too long ago, and I thought: How many times have I sat right down on that very rock!” 12:30:34 PM 4/12/05 “ ![]() Boy that brings back memories! That looks to be about the point where I almost stumbled and fell.” 1:52:53 PM 4/12/05 “those rocks do get slick!” 10:16:59 PM 4/13/05 “Here are some of mine from last fall. I didn't have the rugrats with me, so we actually got to hike around a good bit. Beautiful park. Small, but beautiful. http://community.webshots.com/album/304399591xNQDWt” 11:31:06 PM 4/13/05
