“Anybody know this Zero degree bag? What do you think of it? What would be a bargain price for it?” 12:35:36 PM 4/12/05 “Ped: I have the long version of the bag at home. I bought it to upgrade from an older Sierra Designs 0 degree down bag. I haven't used it yet (dang warm winter weekends!) so I can only comment on the specs. It has a very light shell, a decent hood and draft collar, a 3/4 length zipper and 8 inches of loft - compared to 7 inches of the other allegedly 0 degree bags I considered. Its not on the level of Western Mountaineering, but it "looks" like it should be a good bag. I bought it for around $225, marked down from $400.” 12:42:27 PM 4/12/05 “thanks tm” 1:06:00 PM 4/12/05 “i have the wisp 30, same thing but a higher rating and i have no complaints at all. its like 1.5 pounds and compresses next to nothing. keeps me nice and warm, actually too hot in the summer months but its a fine piece of gear.” 7:40:29 PM 4/12/05 “I ended up buying one @ 200 bucks. Perfect for winter at low altitudes, and for Spring and Fall in the Whites. Looks sweet at that price. Now I still need to replace my sub-zero bag. Any great deals on a sub-zero bag? (mine was a Mountain Hardwear Big Bang -15F, that loft looked sweet all over the second floor after my attic was demo'd, like a downy snow storm had hit). Here's the link for the 200 dollar deal: http://www.snowleopard.biz/slms/product.asp?s%5Fid=0&dept%5Fid=3400&pf%5Fid=PAAAIAPGEICFNKAO&mscssid=UR52B4CQEXL79J28U6TB4A2KRKAHDJQB& last edited: 4/16/05 6:38:00 PM” 6:36:52 PM 4/16/05 cypher “thanks for the link, it slashed the price i was watching on Sierra Trading Post! anyone tested it out yet? last edited: 4/29/05 8:14:11 AM” 8:12:37 AM 4/29/05
