What's your glitzy sleeping bag made of?

I have a sprayskirt made of neoprene and pertex. It's good stuff.

No buyer found for money-making factory that produced this stuff. Due to close in a few weeks. Buy up your pertex now.

Well it looks like the end is near. Message on FF website

The micro-porous coating on the Endurance fabric is designed for breathability and water resistance. It has won high praise in reviews such as this one from Backpacker Magazine. Some manufacturers chose it for their top line sleeping bags, largely for being lighter than other WP/B fabrics. While we prefer eVENT for the much greater breathability, we have tested Endurance in our rental department for many years without receiving a single negative comment. Now the fabric is being discontinued, as Pertex has shut down their manufacturing. This may be your last chance for this fabric. Fabric Weight 1.7 oz/sq.yd.

Artex:

A strange, goat-smellin' and hairy creature seen on occasion in the north woods of New Hampshire and Maine.

The Artex is sometimes seen in the company of other little-seen wonders of the woods, The Pennski and even the elusive Lumberzac, which is native to the Adirondacks.

I can't believe none of the big guys wanted to pick this firm up. Still I guess they'll pick over the bones and buy up the technology. I guess this is what happens when you try and compete with Asian textile manufacture.
