X Box LIVE Halo 2 - Fight against Cheate rs!

Bryan's playing Halo 2 on the xbox LIVE. He's getting tired of all the cheaters that simply unplug the ethernet cable or press the stand by button. Not exactally sure what that does...but he calls it "CHEATING"

He said there is a way to LAG cheaters out of the game. I have never heard of the word "LAG" but he says that if you know anything about xbox live you'll know what "LAG" means.

“YOu basically hit the standby button on your router/cable modem. What this does is that the Xbox thinks something is scewy with your interenet connection but it does not drop you immidiatly. So ou have a short ammount of time to run around and do stuff while on standbye mode. When you take your router/modem off of standbye the other people int he game get updated with all the things you have done. So... lets say you start shooting at me. I hit standbye on my modem. To you... it looks like I dissapear. I then shoot you and kill you and take my modem off of standbye. The server gets updated with the things I did and you magically find yourself dead.”

“bungie has just released a content download to fix the standby cheat. They left the sword super lock cheat/skill in. The standby cheat should be no more. Some games can get "laggy" slow crappy connection that makes your character jump around, position warp, and just plain suck. Make sure your on a good cable or dsl connection.
Halo 2 is one of the least laggy games, along with Crimson Sky, mechwarrior 1 and 2
the worst laggy games are star wars clone wars, republic commando, and battlefront.

so tell him to make sure his downloads are up to date, and to add UA EASYKILL

“Several of my friends that play a lot online tell me that they have a huge problem with cheaters with both Halo and NCAA Football. One guy said he has only actually finished about 10 games of NCAA Football in the three months he has had it. Folk just tend to shut down their system as soon as he goes up by a few TD. Or wait until the final moments of the game when no hope is left. Other ways to cheat include substituting a very fast WR for a TE, taking advantage of the glitch of direct snap to a WR (never witnessed it but heard a lot about it).”

“my friend who holds himself to be the best NCAA 2005 player out there, he regularly stomps us bigtime and we are pretty good on the varsity setting. He is 10 seasons in on the highest (heisman) setting. he got online a few months back...and was beat soundly by a 13 year old girl from sacramento. He doesn't play online anymore LMAO

What pissed me off even more was that the deducted it from y debit card. If I knew that my kid can charge to my card without further okay from the parents, #&%!$...I would've given them a almost expired card.

the first 2 new multiplayer maps out the next monday were free. the next two maps, were 5.99 He could have waited 1 month and they would have been free. a cd is coming out this month with those 4 maps and 5 more for around 11 bucks. then a month after that, all the maps will be free online.
you can still play without the maps, you just can't play your friends if they want to play those map games.”
