So, my son had his first "date".

Saturday evening, my son had his first "date", with a little girl in his first-grade class at school. He was extremely excited all evening on Friday and all day on Saturday. He got her some silk flowers and chocolates, and she drew him a picture. He dressed up in his most "cool" outfit. He tried hard to be a little gentleman, it was sorta cute. But by the end of the evening, when his girlfriend ended up ignoring him because she was watching my daughter play her Gameboy, he got a little bored and asked to go home. Unfortunately for him, the adults (my wife and I, and the girl's parents) were having a good time as well, so he just had to wait. Poor kid.

Um, nope. We stopped at a store and got her some silk flowers and a little bag with some raspberry-flavored chocolates.

He wanted to get her a dozen roses, the little romantic...

heehee...a little early huh?
my son didn't have his first date until he was 14. (that wasn't too long ago)...

before that he thought girls have coodies.

Cameron now on the other hand...well...he really, really scares me!

but you did hide a video camera in the room right? I mean for later when he's all grown up...so he can see his very first date and how the female...well...ignored him.

We didn't even bring a still camera. What awful parents we are, not to be able to embarrass him later in life.

I have a gripe. It's about mothers. They raise their daughters with so many rules about dating, but boys seem to get no advise about being polite, not being rude, not treating the girl poorly etc.

Also, they should be taught to walk away or bring home a girl that treats them rudely or not in a polite way or if they are not nice in anyway.

Hitting on either side should definitely not be tolerated and it would be wise to just walk away.

would it be...
inappropriate to ask if he, at least got to first base? If it is inappropriate, then I won't ask.

you gotta teach him the 4 "f's" of life...and also get him a copy of Dr. D's rules and regulations to fingering techniques. It's never too early to start learning.

LOL...i'm a perve..thats news to me. hehehehe
