You don't look nothin like the girl ranger that came crashing through the woods trying to catch someone W/O a permit or required bear canisters in Sequoia one time. She scared the hell out of us because the brush she was coming through was so thick we couldn't see her, so we thought she was a bear.

From the website -

"Tarol is the name I gave myself when I was little. I had difficulty pronouncing Carol, or the "K" sound, so I became Tarol. "

I was a NPS Ranger, currently I work for the US Forest Service. I got my degree in biology with a focus on botany, ecology, and environmental studies...

Fantastic web site, Carol.

Obviously, you have a talent for web site builds and a deep love of all things wild and wonderful.

Adventurist: Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks, Curecanti NRA & Black Canyon National Park, and Natural Bridges National Monument.

MarkO: Yes, I am an environmentalist, which simply means I care deeply about the natural world and am working to protect it. It does not mean I'm a wacko or an extremist by any measure. I applaud when environmentalists work with land managers and I do not support them if they work against them. We should all learn how to work together because usually we all want the same thing, we just disagree on the details on getting there.

I am also a trained scientist and I work for one of the largest land management agencies in this country.

HighCountry: Thanks :) Funny thing is I've never taken any web courses, I figured it all out on my own, trial and error!

BBillKnox, I am a transplant, but I love Montana. Don't see myself leaving anytime soon. I'm about to graduate from college and am hoping to be fortunate enough to stick around the state for awhile.
